The other issue with the Coil Gun is the mod tree, and its limited choices. T1: Damage is pointless. Any direct damage build prefers charge speed for the synergy with overcharger. T2: Overcharger is only taken with the Mole, and reload time only with Hellfire (because nothing else is useful), while CMF is too useful to not take on any other build.
