I haven't heard Mr. Cabinetry's enclosure so I can't really comment on frequency response but 6" subs do have limitations no matter the enclosure. From the reviews here I'd say it's probably a great option, I'd be up for a sound off on which is the "best" . Well, here is the box I designed and built that allows for full midgate functionality. It is permanately installed and does not have to be removed to use the midgate. Removal would require unbolting the rear seat and lifting it up to get it out, "good theft prevention." I used a JL Audio 8" subwoofer, I believe it is a 8W0 model, 4 ohm.
