Browning a5 problems

Bob Copper BB. I just bought a new A5 Hunter and the first two shells misfired. They were Remmington Express Long Range shells. The next three shells fired but the firing pin barely put a dent in the primer. Next, I shot five Federal dove loads, no problem and the firing pin put normal dent in the primer.

If the autoloader will shoot shells light enough (especially an inertial like the K-5 (it really SHOULD BE the K-5, Kinematic 5, because it ain't an Auto-5)) to suit you for clays and dove, it'll hammer you crosseyed with 3 1/2"ers on geese. Can't say anything about it making much difference outside the theoretical realm, but overbore barrels can cause problems with fibre wads, be aware of that. This got me to thinking about the Browning A5 's and Remington Model 11's I have looked at in the past and have noticed that more of the A5's are cracked than the Model 11's. It is just the ones I have seen or is this world wide., Don't do it. I may catch a lot of flak for this but the Browning A5's made in the last 10-12 years have been horrible. Multiple cases of them being sent back to the factory for not cycling, Browning shipping people extractors, etc. If I'm paying damn near $2000 for a gun, it better damn well work out of the box., Well guys sorry it took so long but I finally have an update on my A-5 Hunter. Remington low brass 2-3/4 7-1/2 – Remington high brass #4 & #5 – Winchester high brass Long Beard XR #4 in both 3” & 3.5” – Winchester Super X 3” #1 buck - Winchester Super X 3.5” 00 buck. I ran into 3 ..., browning a5 disassembly problems - locking block latch pin. I cannot get this pin to come out. I have it lined up with the half circle and I have the right sized punch but it will not budge. The gun is in excellant shape so i'm positive rust is not stopping it from coming out. Idon't know what else to do, I must be missing something.
