Once the weight limit was increased the Shadow 2 OR became available (and allowed) that does not have any slide lightening cuts and it shoots pretty good as is. I have this milling on mine, no noticeable difference to be honest. Slide is lighter so in theory it cycles faster but it's so negligible. I enjoy the looks and how low the optic fits on the slide., Getting it milled will have the optic sit lower on the slide vs. the optics ready version. It keeps bore axis as low as possible which is better for obtaining the dot faster but we're really cutting hairs here. For casual use the optics ready version is fine and you'll have a larger variety of optics plates to use. Reply.
