No more flashing "D" coming back so far and it appears to be shifting fine. Also, the technician did say that the transmission fluid was fairly "dirty" but nothing abnormal. The D light began flashing after about 30 minutes of driving. It went away after turning the van off and on. I took it to my Honda only mechanic, who said that this sometimes happens.
