Oct 25, 2020 · Back to the hood latch. Not sure of your experience level. All hoods for at least the last 50 years use a double latch. The inside release, and then a safety secondary latch. By design you have to get your hand under the hood (after pulling the inside release) and move the secondary latch to actually raise the hood more than an inch or two.
