Remember, you need rare mushrooms to initially tame the kangaroo, but once tamed, it'll eat berries. I checked, it didn't eat anything else. I gave it berries, meat, spoiled meat, sap, rare mushrooms, flowers, vegetables, beer, pretty much any food item, and it didn't eat.
