Marlin 39a firing pin

Some times it will fire several shots OK but for the most part misfires are more often than not. Looking at the bases of the unfired rounds shows no sign of the firing pin striking.

Send your rifle to Marlin, have them fit the bolt, they will also replace any worn pa rts, and test fire it. It will be worth it, to have it done right. You should not find any firing problems, with any manufacturers ammo. You can have extraction problems, with match ammo because of the rim thickness.
