The ADV/Dis-ADV thing is pretty easy to fix, you just need to adjust the shortcut keys for midi. Go to the settings tab then Configure Controls. Look for midi and change the shortcuts., DAE + Midi-qol can do this. There is a setting I believe with Midi QoL in the workflow settings where you turn off auto damage and you select what type of damage you do after you roll.
