Dec 30, 2012 · The OCDP Venice is surprisingly not as popular as they should be. Probably the bad rep from being basswood, and a premade, Chinese line of a custom company. But they are better than you would expect. I personally love the sound of basswood, so that factor doesn't bug me. The wrap is good, though a little sloppy on the kick. That's because it's the same drum shell, ocdp just marks it up 500% . I have a 6.5x14" pearl free floating maple and it's the best snare i've ever played.
