The Steens Mountain Wilderness is a protected wilderness area located in southeastern Oregon in the United States. The wilderness lies within Steens Mountain Cooperative Management and Protection Area. In total the wilderness spans 170,166 acres and was established back in 2000. Within the wilderness, 80,000 acres are open to grazing for cattle.
